Typhoon Maring (August 19-22, 2013)

Last August 19, 20, 21, and 22 our class has been suspended because of the Typhoon ‘’Maring’’. But our class have been suspended not because there is a signal number here in Manila but that is because heavy monsoon rains brought by typhoon "Maring," battered the Philippines for four successive days, caused massive flooding in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces. The weather bureau’s Port Area station in Manila recorded 277.5 mm amount of rainfall.

Night after the next day (August 18, 2013) the rain in Metro Manila became stronger and stronger and unremitting until when we awake at five o'clock in the morning the flood in España Manila is now beyond the knee but the rain is still on going. In spite of this we were not affected by the flood because we live in the 5^th floor of the residential building. But still it seems that we are also affected by the flood because we can’t buy foods that we will eat for everyday because we do not tread on flood because it is very dirty. August 21, 2013 when the flood in Metro Manila started to subside, my sister ask me to buy a medicine in Mercury Drug and she told me that there is no more flood, so I followed her. And when I reach the 1^st floor of our residence building I saw the flood outside and still the flood is until on the legs but I still walked into the flood even though the water is very dirty and when I’m going home I saw a floating sputum and when I saw it, it seems like my intestines wants to push all the foods that I ate a while ago but I controlled it because when I didn’t control it my vomit will scattered on the water and it is so disgusting. And when I reached our residence building I washed my feet so that I can eliminate the dirt that clings to my feet. August 22, 2013 when typhoon ‘’Maring’’ leaved the Philippines to go on its next destination.. ^^ I’m very happy when they said that Typhoon ‘’Maring’’ leaved our country but I felt pity to the people who will experience the Typhoon. But still we are blessed because we didn’t experience to be flooded inside our house. (^_^)
